shadowartist's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back to the Rap Whoa... I've been kinda slacking off in the blog updates, haven't I? Well, hopefully I will put a stop to that soon. In the meantime, the reasons I've had for being so late are: a)I've had a ton of homework and tests to study for 2)Not much has been going on that's worth writing about c)I've been working on my site, which means... Yes, after a weekend and a Monday of hard labor, my site is now understandable! I'm going to put a link on my "Navigation" bar as soon as I get this entry done. Be sure to tell me what you think (I don't have a guestbook, so send me a note here or e-mail me) because it's my first time creating a .html based site. And let me tell you, it was no picnic! Anyways, I had the good fortune of being absent on Monday. My leg was KILLING me and I had a touch of the flu (no surprise with the weather these days and me being so sickly). So, I got a lot of studying done and finished my web site on that day (that was it). Then today, I returned to a small pile of make-up work and the typical scene of a high school in the fall season. I took a Health test today (failed) and will take my Chinese test tomorrow. Oh yeah, and I got thrown into yet another one of my Chinese teacher's daily arguments with another student... Apparentally, there's a student in the back of the class, Marquisha (sp?), that was acting like a "bum," according to my Chinese teacher's observations... Anyways, he started telling her to clear her desk - like the rest of the class - and participate in what we were doing. Well, she replied with an "I forgot my book." Now, let's stop there... When you say that to my Chinese teacher, he automatically gets pissed and not for the fact that you all may be thinking. All he wants is for those that forgot their books to let him know so that he can get them one or they can go to their lockers. So, to make a long story short, they get into a fight and he starts calling her a bum. Then, she gets upset and starts asking him why he's calling her a bum and also starts to complain about him yelling at her. THEN, he looks over at me (WAAAAY across the classroom); who was dumb enough to be observing the scene in fear from afar. Finally, with a grunt, he goes, "Chelsi, do you want me to yell at you?!" Shaken from the sudden involvement, I nervously shook my head in response. He continued yelling at me saying, "...Because Marquisha (sp??) over here thinks I shouldn't be yelling at her. She thinks that she's too important to be yelled at. Well then, tell me... WHO DESERVES TO BE YELLED AT?!" Leaning back towards Kyle, behind me, I just shook my head again with probably as much fear on my face as a dying old woman. With another grunt, he turned away and yelled at her some more while I sighed in relief and leaned back on my desk. I hate it when people get me involved like that. Well, for Marquisha (sp???): she was sent to to the guidance counselor to get her schedule changed.... Well, my mom and step-dad are fighting AGAIN. This time, it's about how he never listens to my mom or that he does listen but doesn't respond with any kind of a gesture. Also, it's about how he interrupts her and I a lot of the time if he feels that he has something to say. Well, she called him on this and now he's all confused (a graduate from Rose-Hulman can't understand those two things). So, she's all upset and he's not coming home from work... Let's see, he's an hour late now and has given no indication that he was going to be late. My mom and I are assuming that he's pouting like a child and is refusing to return home and face the music. I hate to even develop an opinion anymore because this will all be over as soon as they go in their room, have their little "discussion," and kiss and make-up. It makes me sick sometimes. Not that I don't want them to solve this, it's just their seemingly phony attitudes towards situations like this. It's a bunch of BS! I think he's home now... Off they go! 4:14 p.m. - 2003-11-04 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
