shadowartist's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Duck in a Battlefield Oh, what a late night this is going to turn out to be. I'm currently at my desk watching Metropolis while listening to the sounds of light rain against the windows and, of course, typing. The reason why this entry is so late on a typical Saturday is because I was working with, yes, another site. It started out as a small affair (adding pictures and a background to the dull space), but now... we have a whole template together... Wow, I'm losing it. Anyways, there is a template on my site now (it's really cool!) and I've been working hard on it all day. I'm hoping to get it presentable within the next few weeks, depending on my schedule. It will be a masterpiece... Today was yet another one of those days where this apartment and everyone in it had the misfortune of witnessing a husband and wife arguement. It was about the houses and the different opinions and my step-dad's uncontrolable sleeping, like always. It just never ends... So, I was working on my site today and my mom whiped my door open and asked if I wanted to go to Burger King. I agreed and followed her to the living room where she began to act unusually annoyed. For some reason, I had the courage to ask what the problem was and, like always, I got, "Nothing!" Well, that completely changed in the car ride there... She went on about how they were looking at houses and that everytime she had a comment about the house, my step-dad thought she was trying to fight. Then, he was being obnoxious in several houses to the point of my mom's embarrassment. Then, they were supossedly going to come home to pick up a few things and go right back out again afterwards. Well, my step-dad kind of fell asleep before they made it out the door. That was about 5 1/2 hours ago, and he's still asleep! Anyways, my mom was extremely mad about this and went on about it until we made it to Burger King. Then, after we ate, she started defending him when I brought the subject up again! I was merely repeating what she had said earlier and she was yelling at me for it, saying it wasn't true! We came back home shortly after and she was treating him as if nothing happened at all! So, I thought everything was better. Wrong! Mom and I then began playing cards until she felt the urge to talk to him in the other room. She told me that it would be awhile, so I went in my room and worked on my website again... I came out not 1 hour later and she's sitting on the couch, playing cards, with the darkest look on her face... he had fallen asleep on her again. She had nothing but complaints about him until I left the room. I just can't take this anymore! Other than that crappy bunch of news, it was a pretty good day today. I got to feed the ducks several times this afternoon. Then, some Canadian Geese were starting to push Carlos and Maria around. So, I simply opened the padio door and they all started walking away from them. After that, I felt like a sheepdog herding a bunch of geese! I didn't even have to run after them before they all jumped into the pond immediately, and went to the otherside. It was so funny!! I'm a duck guardian! wOOT! 10:11 p.m. - 2003-10-25 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
